Boutique Sales Associate/Production Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

•Assist customers with personalization at checkout
•Checkout customers
• Basic store merchandising
• Assist management with inventory
• Once sufficiently trained: open and close the store on assigned days
• Operate embroidery machines, vinyl cutters and other machines(no experience needed, all training provided)
• Prepare and package orders for shipping

Retail or customer service experience- is a strong plus
Background in sewing- not required
Photoshop or illustrator certified- not required

Campus or community leadership involvement-strongly considered
This is not a seasonal job and applicant should be able to work this summer(we are extremely flexible with summer schedules)
Should be able to work on Saturdays occasionally

Store is currently open 11am-6:00pm and shifts are flexible around schedules. Starting wage will be $9-12/hr with a review for a raise within the first 6 months.

Marketing Internships

Social Media Intern
Manage all social media platforms, scheduling posts for every day
Aid in using social media ads and give-a-ways to grow active followers.
Track and connect with industry influencers (bloggers, vloggers, etc.)
Creating content for the Instagram story and feed
Interact with followers and brand reps on social media (liking, commenting and sharing photos)
**Looking for someone who is comfortable being live/talking in videos on social media

Public Relations, Marketing, and Website Intern
Help set up and run photoshoots for new products and social media
Coordinating with Brand Reps and expanding program opportunities
Create promotional material using photoshop and illustrator for general designs and promotional items (flyers, stickers)
Implement marketing and advertising strategies that align with the vision of Sunny & Southern
Help manage the website (update product descriptions and come up sale promotions)

***Interns are expected to familiarize themselves with Sunny and Southern's website, products and social media

Position Timeline: January - May (Specific Dates TBD)

Scheduling will be based on your availability between the hours of 9:00am-7:00pm.
Depending on the experience of the applicants, compensation will be stipend or hourly based.

This position is for a spring semester Internship and has the opportunity to become a job upon completion. In-person interviews will be conducted based on applicants availability.
